About Destination Natura

Hello and welcome to Destination Natura! My name is Ruth Morgan, here to present to you tried and tested effective skincare recipes, which you can make in your own home!

I started my journey making skincare a few years ago. I wanted to reduce plastic waste and be in control of the substances I was putting on my skin. My home is now filled up with chemistry sets, oils, beeswax, humectants, surfactants and bottles of this and that. Women have been making skincare for many many years before the marketing began. Your own home can be a mini lab quite easily (the white lab coat is optional!)

This is a space where you can find free skincare recipes easily, without adverts – keeping it simple. My philosophy is healthy skin.

Fun Facts about Nature-Powered Skincare Ingredients

Why Your Skin Loves the Simple Stuff

Aloe vera

This succulent is over 98% water and packed with vitamins, enzymes, and amino acids. It instantly cools and hydrates, making it a go-to for sunburn, irritation, and dryness.

Green Tea

Rich in catechins (a type of antioxidant), green tea helps calm inflammation, reduce redness, and protect skin from environmental stress. A daily detox—inside and out.

Chamomile

Used since ancient times, chamomile is known for its calming, anti-inflammatory magic. It’s perfect for sensitive skin, helping to ease redness and restore balance.

Oats (Colloidal Oatmeal)

A gentle cleanser and natural skin protectant, oats lock in moisture while relieving itchiness and irritation. Especially loved by dry and eczema-prone skin.

Raw Honey

More than sweet—it’s a humectant that draws moisture deep into the skin. Plus, it has natural antibacterial properties, making it perfect for both hydration and healing.
